Joining us for this NCJA Policy Session will be the principal authors of the new National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine comprehensive report on tackling racial inequalities in the criminal justice system called Reducing Racial Inequality in Crime and Justice: Science, Practice and Policy.

 

The report provides evidence-based recommendations for reducing racial disparities across all stages of the criminal justice system and explores coordinated reforms that can be undertaken in education, health and economic development to address the root causes of racial inequality.
