NCJA hosts government affairs updates four times per year to highlight the status of legislation and appropriations issues and the policy conversations happening on the Hill, in the Administration and within the stakeholder community. There will also be an opportunity for NCJA members to ask questions and provide input. In addition, as appropriate, speakers from the Department of Justice, Congress or other federal agencies may be invited to discuss their priorities or new initiatives.

We hope you will join us for the next quarterly Government
Affairs update. Elizabeth Pyke will provide an update on recent congressional
activity, including several bills that moved during Police Week. For those who
attended the NCJA Public Policy Summit on May 16, this session will offer a chance to
ask questions and dig deeper into the legislation discussed, particularly on police
training and mental health response. For those who were unable to attend, this will
be your chance to hear the latest. Elizabeth looks forward to leading a
discussion and hearing your feedback on what you heard at the Policy Summit.
Your feedback is what guides our work so we hope you will attend and share your
perspective.
